The merit of good Karma (noble actions) gets carried on to subsequentbirths, such actions if done without a desire (Nishkama Karma) will leadto redemption form the bondage of birth and death. Any action good orbad will have a fruit and one must experience the fruit if the actionhas been performed with a desire. If your action is without a desire andsurrendered to the Almighty its result does not bind you. Therefore theidea is not to make a choice in your desires but to become choice lessor desire less.
