Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourses, God Word II

From a shaking mirror, enveloped in smoke and kept at distance, no
proper reflection can be obtained. Similarly, a mind, which lacks
concentration, which is filled with ego and allured by temptations of
the worldly objects, can not reflect the Lord.

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourses, God Word II

Human birth is essentially meant for singing the name of the Lord. Once
you realize this truth, the sacred name of the Lord opens the door to
the province of Bhakti.

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse, God Word - 1 (Ref : Jul 93)

The entire universe and the Trinity (Brahma, Vishnu and Siva) are the
forms of Guru alone. There is nothing beyond Guru. So, the Guru should
be worshiped well.

Pujya Sri Swamiji - God Word - 1

Whatever is touched by the "Guru" becomes at once holy and sacred.
"Guru" is the object for meditation. All mantras originate from him. He
is the one to be worshipped. He alone is the bestower of liberation
(Moksha).

Pujya Sri Swamiji's during His first visit to America in 1976

A person once asked Sri Swamiji "Are you enlightened? Has your cycle
finished?"
Sri Swamiji replied, "When your cycle is finished, then my cycle is
completed! I am always following behind you."

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse at a devotee's house

To reach Advaita, the non-dual state, we have to first practice Dwaita,
duality. Through the constant worship of God as being separate from
oneself, gradually the sense of duality will vanish and the non-dual
state will be attained. But this gradual process is very essential. It
is inevitable.

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse, Day 4, Navaratri, 2010

Whatever changes is unenduring and hence unreal. Only what is steady and
enduring is the Truth. You and your thoughts are also ever changing.
That is why you are also not Reality.

Pujya Sri Swamiji’s speech on Day 4 Navaratri in Mysore 2010

The Mother of the Universe has limitless compassion towards her
children. She is always ready to guide, to bless, and to protect. She
takes so many incarnations to protect the beings in the entire creation.

H.H Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji on Sri Krishna Janmashtami 2010

Butter comes from churning. When by mental churning, doubts are removed,
butter of True Knowledge emerges. Whatever we listen to, we should
ponder over it and engage in mental churning.

power of chanting God’s name

The power of chanting God’s names cannot be underestimated. It is very
effective even if you chant just one name. If there are a thousand crows
on a tree, it is enough if you throw just one stone at them. They will
all fly away. There is no need to throw a stone for each of them. The
thousand crows or even a million crows are the sins that we have
committed because of our greed, lust, anger, and so on. We are
completely contaminated by our sins and our weaknesses. Just by
chanting, ‘Hari’, or ‘Vithala’, or ‘Rama’, or ‘Guru
Datta’ with devotion, all these crows will fly away along with their
children.

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse, Navaratri - Day -5 Parashakti (12/Oct/2010)

Every atom is filled with energy. There is nothing in this world that is
not filled with energy. Water, Sky, Fire etc. are five elements also
have an energy embedded in them. They are Jada (non-living). Even then
there is an energy that drives them. During the time of Pralaya
(absolution of the Universe) all these may disappear but the Energy
remains. This clearly shows that there is a competent energy beyond the
five elements that drives the five elements too. That energy is called
Parashakti.

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse, Mysore, 12-Oct-2010

The Gods are always waiting to say, ‘so be it’. We have to be very
careful about what we speak. We should not get into the bad habit of
saying bad things or using bad words. ‘Think before you talk’. Do
not be a chatterbox.

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse,Mysore, 15-Oct-2010

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse, Mysore, 16-Oct-2010

Trishati alone is enough for doing Vedanta sadhana. These names will now

now Swamiji is blessing devotees. He has been guiding four generations
of devotees. He is called Thathaji, Appaji, mother, brother, and friend.

Sri Swamiji's speeach at a devotee's house

We need to do puja to develop concentration. You should remember that.
Yes. God is everywhere. He is in all forms. He is also formless. In
order to realize the formless God, it is essential that we begin by
worshiping God with a form and attributes.

to the world. Says your Lord, Sachchidananda,Lord of true eternal bliss.

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse, Hyderabad, 05-Nov-2010

Practice devotion to Guru while you are young. Do not wait to begin it

your old age.

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse, Deepavali celebrations, Hyderabad, 05-Nov-2010

we need to look inwards.

Hundreds of thousands of people have benefited.

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse, Devi Navaratri Celebrations, 13-Oct-2010

One must remember Mother Annapoorna with gratitude before taking food.
When out of anger a plate of food or a glass of drink is rudely pushed
away, that person and that household will suffer from poverty and
stomach ailments. It is a sin to abuse and criticize food even if it
does not meet your taste.

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse, Devi Navaratri Celebrations, 15-Oct-2010

Simple walking is Yoga. Japa, chanting of the mantra given by the Guru
is Yoga. Controlling the intake of food is Yoga. Not being a chatter
box, remaining silent is Yoga. The practice should be systematic and
orderly.

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse, Devi Navaratri Celebrations, 16-Oct-2010

Those people are the luckiest who have the friendship of Puttu Gam and
Dattapeetham on Face book. It is a great royal highway to lead you
forward. Swamiji had tears in his eyes yesterday when Puttu Gam showed
him the report that even those who are computer-illiterate have now
become friends on Face book.

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse, Devi Navaratri Celebrations, 17-Oct-2010

From every angle try to do seva, to serve the Guru. At least bring one
new devotee to Swamiji, get at least one new member for Bhakti Mala,
participate in at least one Datta Seva project. Do some seva if not one
per day, at least one per month.

Monday, September 26, 2011

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse, Vijaya Dasami Message, Oct-18-2010

When everything is going well you must do as much Guru Seva as you
possibly can. With no expectation simply out of
devotion you must participate in Guru Seva. That will be wonderful. It
is like building up a bank balance.

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse, 700 Hundred Sayings of Sachchidananda

The way a teacher disciplines and molds the student is the way which
gold is melted to make ornaments. Without hammering and molding how
could anything have a form? This is the truth universal, Sachchidananda,
Lord of true eternal bliss.

Sunday, August 14, 2011

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse, Devi Navaratri Celebrations, 15-Oct-2010

Tomorrow He may give a different instruction. Simply follow. That is
Yoga, real Yoga.

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse, Devi Navaratri Celebrations, 17-Oct-2010

I think very hard before giving a boon. People have no time to do puja.
They have no time to come for darshan. They want me to give blessings
over the telephone. You must build up your reserve first by coming again
and again.

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse, Devi Navaratri Celebrations, 13-Oct-2010

Annapoorna-Vishalakshi. They are both one and the same.

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse, Devi Navaratri Celebrations, 23-Oct-2010

Many devotees start their day by obtaining the Sadguru’s protective

small mishap occurs, you must realize that because of Guru’s grace
only a small mishap occurred, and not anything more serious. Mother
Goddess and Sadguru always protect you.

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse, Seven Hundred Sayings of Sachchidananda

Nada, the subtle music, made the stone melt. Nada, the subtle
music made it rain in desert land. Nada, the subtle music, made
the barren cow yield milk. A dry log of wood put forth new leaves
because of Nada, Sachchidananda, Lord of true bliss eternal.

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse, Seven Hundred Sayings of Sachchidananda

They say it is the age of machine. They say it is the age of technology.

machine which can remove or clean human hearts has not come?
Sachchidananda, Lord of true eternal bliss.

Light.

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse,Memphis, Tennessee, USA,01-Aug-2003

think
God can be
pleased with animal cutting. Actually He will be more happy if we cut
our animal instincts of getting angry like tiger etc.

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse, Dharma Divine Dairy

Sadguru is like gold, sugar cane and sandal wood.
Gold: the more you heat it, the purer it becomes.
Sugar cane: the more you squeeze, the greater is the quantity of the
juice.
Sandal wood: the more you rub, the greater is the scent that it yields.

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse, Hyderabad, India

All our destinies are fixed by the Creator. We do not need to stress
ourselves to know what our individual destiny is. Wherever the tide
takes us, we should accept that as our destiny. If suddenly the tide
shifts, and our direction changes, we should accept that change also as
our destiny. We should not succumb to confusion.

crowd can help one other person in their lives.

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse,Dharma Divine Dairy

The existence of God can only be realized by persistent efforts,
personal experience, and intuitive feeling.
Logical arguments and eloquent speeches do not help to feel the presence
of God.

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse, Follow The Master

The Guru, like the God, is the embodiment of kindness. Just as the
mother attends the spoiled child, the Guru ministers to the needs of the
His devotee.

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse, Dharma Divine Dairy

In spite of his achievements, man is unhappy. Everything would be fine
for him, if only he learns humility by accepting the fact that what he
thinks he has achieved, was made possible for him by God. His
achievements are really God's making.

Pujya Sri Swamiji's Discourse, Sri Krishna Janmaashtami , 01-Sep-2010

Krishna’s goal is to bestow Paripoornatva, wholeness to each of us. He
gives the assurance of His help. But He does not chant a mantra, He
does not perform a homa. He makes us do it.
